A Nation In Distress

Remembering the date 12/12/00 when the Supreme Court usurped our right to elect our own president.

As I skim through the 'news' this morning, I can only wonder what is wrong with the American public and why aren't they raising hell about what the Bush administration has done to this country in just two years.

The Patriot Act which attacked our Bill of Rights & our Constitution. TIPs which required Americans to spy on each other. (Did they really drop it?) The Total Information Awareness System developed and run by an convicted felon. The Homeland Security Bill which will finish off the job started by the insane Patriot Act.

We have a person in the oval office whose cruelty, inhumanity, inability to tell the truth & greed was well known prior to the November 2000 elections and, we sat by expecting our Congress to do the right after the Supreme Court made their outrageous ruling. Didn't happen.

First this little man set about undoing everything that had the name Clinton attached to it, including the Hart -Rudman Study & recommendations on terrorism. Then came an outrageous tax cut for the wealthiest of the wealthy. He vacationed and watched for the terrorism that he knew was coming and he allowed it to happen! How else can you explain the actions of a so-called president who continued to read a silly book to kids while it was being announced that the country was under attack? Whose brother asked, "Is it the terrorists?"

After September 11th, we sat idly by as Bush and his gang started demanding outrageous concessions and mountains of money. One by one the insanity passed through a Congress who was afraid to violate George Bush's definition of patriotism and there we sat. Bush now has the absolute authority to decide who is a terrorist & to hold that person till hell freezes over with no rights, no attorney, no contact with the world & that includes US citizens!

Our spineless Democrats shrunk back in fear and voted to pass the bill allowing a man who can barely read a speech to make the sole decision to attack another country because they might attack us.

Enron, corruption, corruption and more corruption. Are you awake yet America?

The Bush appointments (paybacks) have insulted the very integrity of this country. The most recent appointment of Henry Kissinger, another liar, accomplice to murder & other crimes, to investigate the events leading up to September 11. What a slap in the face of the people of this country. Just another minor event in the George Bush secret government!? What is it that Bush has to hide that he needs the world's foremost liar on his side?

Is our Congress going to stand idly by and possibly allow this selfish, self-centered, self-serving, greed monger to start a world war? Are they going to allow him to bankrupt the country with his out of control spending? Where is all that compassionate conservatism that we heard so much about UNTIL Bush was S-elected?

AND then comes the biggest question of all. What information does George Bush have that will cause most of Congress to roll over and play dead? Is he blackmailing them? That has been his MO for many years. Is this what he is doing now? Has he rounded up information on top Democrats (and Republicans] to blackmail them into giving in to his evil agenda?

What about the media? Are they also blackmailed into submission in order to keep their jobs? What about the blatant voter fraud..... in two major elections?

There are many more questions than answers regarding the Bush administration. But the biggest question of all is....what is it that causes Americans to not care enough to demand answers?

The Holiday season is upon us and what do we have to look forward to? Nuclear holocaust? Yes, the man with the twitchy fingers stands by the nuclear button threatening the entire world.

What's wrong America? Are you willing to live your life in fear and allow a person, who so obviously doesn't give a damn about you, to destroy our country and our way of life?

Ask yourself where former President Bill Clinton would be today if he had attempted any of the actions taken by this fraudulent president......And proceed from there! It's time to say NO to the world's foremost terrorist who resides illegally at 1600 Pennsylvania Av.

December 12, 2000, a day that will indeed live in infamy....the beginning of the Death of Democracy.
